[01] ABOUT THE PROJECT
"AEOLUS'
One Health, One Fligth. Every Live Counts
It is a One Health project for the creation of a DFR (Drone First Response) operational protocol for health emergency cases in small Italian and European islands, focusing on the patient, animals and environment.
This project originated from the implementation of Article 119, sixth paragraph, of the Italian Constitution.
"The Republic recognises the specific characteristics of islands and promotes the measures necessary to remove the disadvantages arising from insularity.”
Why?
To improve the quality of life on small Italian and European islands
[ OUR APPROACH ]
The motivation to implement this pilot project for small islands stems from the experiences, professional expertise, and dedication of national and international stakeholders. It stems from our collective love for island territories, exceptionally beautiful yet often remote. Providing adequate healthcare services in these territories is a challenge. Responding to clinical emergencies and managing protocols is particularly challenging on small islands, especially in situations where the "time" factor is crucial to the outcome.
[03] PROJECT GOALS
Ensure that residents and temporary residents receive high-quality healthcare services, with appropriate adaptations to address the challenges posed by isolation and limited resources..
The initiative seeks to ensure the effectiveness of care pathways in all contexts, including those considered disadvantaged, such as islands and remote areas of a country.
[04] CONCULSION
Once the results have been validated, the pilot project will be transformed into a DFR protocol that can be applied across all small islands of the European Union.

Experience
Commitment
Passion
"Aeolus was created to support the healthcare system with an integrated, sustainable, and replicable model capable of meeting the needs of European island territories and remote areas.
The pilot phase, whose location will be determined according to objective and shared criteria, will represent a crucial step in operational validation and in building a model aimed at ensuring equitable access to care and timely interventions.
Finally, my heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Gianni Donigaglia, President of ANSPI (National Association of Small Island Healthcare) and to all the members of this important association. My thanks also go to the national and international partners who have embraced Aeolus' vision. "
